US Lacrosse Announces Elite, Developmental Teams
US Lacrosse today announced the rosters for the 2006-07 U.S. Women's Elite and Developmental teams. Representing NU on the Elite Team will be assistant coach Acacia Walker, former Wildcat All-Americans Sarah Albrecht and Lindsey Munday and 2006 Tewaaraton Award winner Kristen Kjellman (pictured). Meredith Frank was named to the Developmental Team.

Kjellman Wins Tewaaraton Award as Nation's Top Women's Lacrosse Player

Amonte Hiller, Kjellman, Frank Garner ALC Specialty Awards

The Wildcats took home three of the four specialty awards handed out by the American Lacrosse Conference (ALC) and a total of six student-athletes took home first or second team honors as voted on by the league's head coaches. For the second straight year, Kristen Kjellman took home Player of the Year accolades while Kelly Amonte Hiller, was named Coach of the Year by her peers for the third-consecutive year and teammate Meredith Frank was named the Rookie of the Year.

PLYMOUTH STATE UNIVERSITY
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Plymouth State University women’s lacrosse team collected a host of honors Tuesday when the Little East Conference announced its annual All-Star team and award winners for the 2006 season.

Nicole Evans was named Offensive Player of the Year and All-LEC First Team; Nicole also received the University “Panther” Award.  Junior midfielder Kelsey MacDonald (Oak Bluffs, Mass.) was named LEC Defensive Player of the Year. And Second-year head coach Paula Habel was named LEC Coach of the Year.

NESCAC AWARDS
Colby College
Rookie of the Year honors went to Colby attacker Kate Sheridan (Hingham, Mass.). Sheridan, who also received All-Conference Second Team.

STONEHILL COLLEGE
After earning Most Valuable Player honors in the Northeast-10 Conference tournament for the second time in her career, senior All-America Jenny McGrath was named on Monday as the league's Player of the Week for the third time this season.
