All Star Express Tournament
Teams Attending:
Being the first year attending this tournament we were immediately struck by the number of teams - 184, and the number of coaches who attended - 350! With that said we were in for 3 days on intensity, not a problem for our players however…. The Rising Stars played on Friday only, 5 games going 2-3. Our players now know what good lacrosse is and with each game picked up the pace, played like a team and walked away very proud. It was a great experience! The Underclassman team, made quite the impression wining their first 8 games, and losing their last 2 games – due to complete exhaustion and aggressive competition. All in all they played 2 days of intense lacrosse and really got the word out that Mass Elite is here! Their Team play and hustle was immense! The Rising Seniors came out right of the bat with speed, team unity and with the attitude that every ball is our ball! The game of the tournament for these guys was against Skywalkers, with the football field loaded with coaches and the girls ready to give 100%. Our defense was in top form and even though we lost by one goal, 3-2, the score reflected on both sides what wins championships – DEFENSE! All in all the senior team went 7-1-2, playing 7 games on Sunday was a marathon and a day of great lacrosse. All in all, the Mass Elite girls put it out there this weekend! Most memorable moments - watching Allison Jacobs come in second in the dance competition – way to go Allison!! And witnessing goaltending by Michelle Smith like I have never seen, talk about "IN THE ZONE"! A special Thanks to all the coaching staff, Leslie Frank, Michael Vitelli, and Nicole Evans – your support was tremendous; the girls moved water for you and your time and dedication is very much appreciated!
