NEW ENGLAND TOURNAMENT DETAILS
Location: UMASS, Amherst
Day/Date: Sat/Sun ~ July 12 and 13, 2008
New England Tournament For: JV Black and Blue Teams and Development Team
There are two tournaments going on simultaneously at Umass this weekend. The varsity teams (Mass Elite Red and White) are playing in the Mid-Summer Classic on the fields adjacent to the Mullen Center across the street from the Boyden gym. The youth and Junior Varsity teams (Mass Elite Black and Blue) are playing in the New England Tournament on fields near the Football Stadium. You can walk between the two but it is a long walk. There is a large parking lot that connects the two areas. If you park there you can easily drive between the two.
Concession stands will be available at the tournament.
Schedule, waiver and field map coming soon…

DIRECTIONS to Warren McGuirk Alumni Football Stadium football at Umass Amherst
I do not have an address for stadium but Visitor Center address is 300 Massachusetts Ave., Amherst, MA 01003 phone 413-545-0306
From the East Via Route 91 and Route 9 (from Umass website)
Mass Pike (Route 90) West to Exit 4 (West Springfield) onto Route 91 North to Exit 19 (Northampton/Amherst) - Right onto Route 9 and go approximately five miles, just past the Amherst-Hadley town line. Take a left at the lights (just after the Stop and Shop on the left-hand side) onto University Drive. Go through one set of lights and the entrance to the stadium will be on your left.
Alternate back road directions if Route 9 is backed up (which is often the case)
Off of route 9 Take a left onto Middle Road (route 47 North) to Rocky Hill Road. This will take you all the way to Umass. The entrance to the parking lot by the stadium will be on your left. Continue past here, take a left onto University Dr. and park on lot on left. Fields are in front of lot across the street.
Alternate Route: From East via Route 2: Route 2 West, take exit 16 (Belchertown/Amherst). Follow Route 202 for about 15 miles to blinking light at Route 9 and 116 Amherst exit (Pelham). Turn right and follow for 7 miles to Amherst center. Follow signs to UMass.
